Beinvenue! Shalom! Welcome to my home page (or attempts at one).  These pages aren't meant to be of interest to any schmo that wonders my way.  Instead, these pages are meant to provide some perspective of my regular life to: a) my friends and family across the world, b) those who I have crossed at one point or another (and are not seeking revenge) or c) those with nothing better to do.  Regardless of who you are, I hope you enjoy what you see.

If you would like, go ahead and e-mail me with any comments or suggestions.  Who knows, I may listen to what you write.

For now, this page is limited pretty much to some of my life experiences.  Take a look around.  (I will not, at least for the time being, associate myself with my current employer, as I may hurt its image.  My friends and family know with whom I am employed and can visit its site out of their own valition - if you can correctly spell its name.)

The Places I've Been

This section includes a list of places I have been (at least those places I am willing to tell you where I've been).  If it looks like there's a link, check it out; I have included pictures to share (for one reason or another).  Also, if I had the time, I have added some caption to the text.  Who knows, you may even find some of this mildy interesting!

Next Thoughts

For those just passing through, I hope I have sparked some interest in the places I have been.  If so, this section is dedicated to providing you with some sites that can provide additional information about these places.  If not, these sites are a waste of your time.  And for those who are friends or family, you probably couldn't care less about these links.

  • Backpacking/Hiking
  • Skiing
  • Whitewater Rafting
  • New York City
  • For The Sake Of Traveling

Some Good Links

What would a personal web page be without the random "Links" section?  Occassionally, people ask me if there are any good sites out there.  Sometimes I say yes, other times I say no.  This section contains a list of links that I have found either interesting and/or useful in one way or another.  If you read into them, you may find out about me (or you may have too much free time).

  • The MovieCritic - a great place to find out what to see in the theatres or on video.  You tell it what you like, and it recommends movies based our your preferences.  The more you rate, the better.
  • MyYahoo! - today's Internet is all about getting only the news you want, when you want it.  For almost 4 years (if memory serves me right), I have been using this site for customized news.  There are many out there, but I am loyal to her.
  • TUCOWS - There are many a site boasting shareware and freeware.  Some, like Download.com and Shareware.com provide a plethora of software for almost everything.  My favorite, though, remains to be TUCOWS. No legitimate reason.  Try for yourself.
Travel Sites: I have found the following sites useful in planning trips of all kinds.
  • General Travel Agents - Both the Internet Travel Network and Travelocity have proven to be great pages for planning travel, whether it include simply looking up plane schedules, or renting cars and planning hotel stays.  Travelocity also allows you.  Another site, Biztraveler, is also useful, though it is targeted to the business traveler.  One great aspect of this site is that it automatically accounts for frequent flier programs (should you have any).
  • Last Minute Travel - If you can pack and leave with little notice, I strongly recommend Last Minute Travel Bargains. American Express has pretty good offerings, but I am not sure if you have to purchase them with an American Express card.  Another great site is cheaptickets.com, which does seem to find the cheapest flights out there (at least the handful of times I have tried it).
  • Travel Clubs - If you travel a lot, are looking for bargains, and don't mind spending $60, Bestfares is the place for you.  A magazine with its own website, it hunts down great discounts from every corner of the world.  Even though the subscription fee is a bit steep, you will definitely save that amount within 1-2 trips.
